Subrahmanyam (Jagapati Babu), falls in love with Durga (Roja) and marries her with the consent of their parents. They adopts two hooligan children of Durga's sister. Meanwhile Durga begets twins and Subrahmanyam manages to buy a house in cuty. They plan to rent out the top floor and their troubles start.The tenant Pataudi (Rajendra Prasad) and his family members belong to an eccentric species and always trouble Subramanyam. His troubles are aggravated, when Jhansi’s sister Sujata (Kanchi Kaul) falls in love with him. This creates fissures in his family. How he overcomes all this and set his house in order is the remaining part of the story.

Family Circus is a simple story made with a lot of verve. But all of it comes to nought as the director deals with a subject that has been beaten to pulp by the likes of S V Krishna Reddy, Relangi Narasimha Rao and Jandhyala.

And above all we have the trendy director Teja, who can makes things wonder from simplicity.
